While the highway to get there is presently under repair, those who make the trip to Constanza, the highest mountain vacation area in the Caribbean, all agree it is more than worth it. Constanza is the Swiss Alps in the Caribbean, with temperatures dropping at night to a chilly below 50s (-10C degrees) in the winter and averaging below 60s (-18C in the summer).

A collection of cozy inns awaits adventure travelers that need their good nights sleep to prepare for mountain climbing and visiting the attractions, included the highest waterfall in the region, Aguas Blancas.

Constanzas most fertile valley is where much of the countrys farm produce comes from, so visitors can enjoy dishes made with crops right off the farms. The lovely scenery has also inspired many artists whose works of art are available in town.

Constanza has its own airfield for easy arrivals from airports all around the country.
