Juan Dolio - Dominican Republic

Half an hour east of Las Americas International Airport (Santo Domingo) or half an hour west of the Casa de Campo International Airport (La Romana), Juan Dolio is all about good eating, good golfing beach tanning and relaxation.

The Gary Player Guavaberry Golf Course is the big draw in town, but the Metro Country Club Los Marlins Golf Course also adds to Juan Dolios reputation as a golf destination.

On the Boulevard, a dozen of fine restaurants offer variety of cuisine and cater to the upscale Dominicans that have acquired condos in the area to make their own the endless views of the stretching horizon over the sea.

Nearby is the Cueva de las Maravillas, known in English as the Cave of the Marvels, the cave that never fails to get the best reviews from all its visitors. A cinematography expert was responsible for the lighting of the cave and as a result the stalactites and stalagmites come alive as tourists walk the subterranean trails.
