I didn't know the area at all, so I took a chance on the Coco - the price seemed on the cheap side. Ian, Marleny and staff took good care of me, as did other guests and the bar crowd. They helped me get introduced to the town, which is what I was looking for. I didn't want to be locked up in an all inclusive - needed to explore. Am looking for a retirement type place. Loved Sosua and the DR! Have booked a return to Sosua and a realtor, but will stay again at the Coco which became my temporary home away from home - but with a pool! Great security, fenced, safes, night staff, and a very big rottweiler (my buddy) who doesn't take well to people with "bad attitudes and intents"!
