It started something like this...

We looked around and noticed that it was difficult or impossible to make a reservation at many of the hotels dotted around the Dominican Republic. Why? Because most had no online reservation option, or worse, no online presence. Now that was a problem waiting to be solved!

 

What came next?

dr1travel was born and started with one goal in mind. To encourage independent travel, by making every hotel in the Dominican Republic accessible, bookable and available online.

In August 2009 we opened our doors to millions of independent travelers around the planet and started to turn their dreams of being able to book any hotel in the Dominican Republic into a reality.
